SENIOR DIVISION ORDER ANALYST

The Senior Division Order Analyst will be responsible for analyzing title opinions, leases, contracts, and other legal documents to prepare division of interests for operated and non-operated wells.

- Review and interpret title opinions, leases, and all related documents to set up and validate ownership to ensure accurate revenue distribution
- Prepare division of interest and burden spreadsheets, analyze title requirements, resolve decimal discrepancies, and cure title defects
- Analyze leases, state statutes, and other relevant documents to identify special payment provisions or obligations, coordinating with revenue accounting to ensure compliance
- Prepare calculations and revisions of divisions of interests for workovers, recompletions and payouts
- Process deck maintenance transfers and pay code changes based on documentation from owners and partners; communicate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary information and documents
- Respond to escalated owner relations inquiries; provide complex calculation details to interest owners, and assist in resolving ownership discrepancies
- Provide training and mentoring to less experienced division order personnel
- Interface with owners, partners, legal, land, accounting, owner relations, marketing, and purchasers to obtain or provide data and explanations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of oil and gas land contracts and legal instruments
- Knowledge of taking-in-kind practices
- Ability to understand and resolve complex title issues
- Knowledge of lease provisions and their implications to lease records
- Ability to apply rules and regulations as they pertain to the ownership of minerals and oil and gas rights, contracts, leases, pooling, unitization and other title information
- Ability to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload
- Excellent written, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Division Order Analyst
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Oklahoma experience is preferred
- CDOA certification preferred
