Job Summary
The Division Order Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining ownership records related to oil and gas properties to ensure accurate revenue distribution and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding revenue accuracy by interpreting legal documents, resolving ownership discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze division orders, leases, title opinions, deeds, probate documents, and other ownership records to determine accurate interest ownership
- Set up and maintain ownership records within the company’s revenue or land management systems
- Calculate and verify decimal interests for oil, gas, and other production revenues
- Review and process ownership changes resulting from assignments, transfers, probate, or curative actions
- Coordinate with Land, Accounting, Legal, and Revenue teams to resolve title and ownership issues
- Respond to owner inquiries regarding ownership interests, payments, and documentation requirements
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, lease agreements, and company policies
- Track and resolve suspense items related to ownership discrepancies
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
- Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential records
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in division order analysis or land administration
- Strong understanding of oil and gas ownership, title documents, and revenue distribution
- Proficiency with division order or land management systems
