The role requires handling shipments, coordinating courier services, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Managing all mail and courier services including preparing packages, coordinating pick-up and delivery, and confirming receipt with appropriate stakeholders
- Handling incoming and outgoing sensitive shipments with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Delivering packages to customer work areas or coordinating pick-up as needed
- Maintaining adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies at all times
- Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor in a timely manner
- Keeping work areas clean and orderly while following prescribed safety regulations
- Resolving shipping and receiving issues promptly while maintaining excellent customer service
- Ability to lift 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
- Must be able to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedures
- Ability to detect emergency alarms both auditory and visual
- Work in a fast-paced office environment with multiple priorities
- May involve standing, walking, and moving packages throughout facility areas
- Must maintain awareness of safety regulations and emergency procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in shipping & receiving, logistics, or similar role
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information clearly and concisely
- High degree of accuracy required for handling sensitive equipment and proper routing of shipments
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment while managing multiple work streams and priorities
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Additional experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with shipping software systems or inventory management systems
- Basic knowledge of shipping regulations and courier service procedures
- Experience working in corporate office environments or client-facing roles
- Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve shipping issues independently
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands
