REGISTERED DIETITIAN

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian. This position is full-time, within the Medical Department, working across our Broadway, Barton, and Doat Sites.

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients referred by providers.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical needs, cultural and/or religious preferences, and patient goals.
• Provide counseling for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, gastrointestinal disorders, and pregnancy- related conditions.
• Support maternal and child health by offering prenatal and pediatric nutrition guidance.
• Facilitate group classes or workshops on nutrition, cooking, and healthy lifestyle behaviors.
• Impart knowledge of the importance of physical activity and apply behavior change principles to promote physical activity and decrease physical inactivity. 
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support care coordination and health outcomes.
• Document encounters and plans in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in the development of policies and programs to promote nutrition and wellness.
• Participate in community outreach, food access initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
• Stay current with nutrition science and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:                   

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
• Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program preferred
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration 
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or community setting preferred 
• Experience in an FQHC or with underserved populations preferred

Hourly Rate: $24-$26 an hour. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
