Duties And Responsibilities

- Move materials throughout facility in a safe and efficient manner.
- Issue and receive materials to/from job orders.
- Receive incoming materials from suppliers.
- Cycle count materials.
- This position requires transportation, forklift, and storeroom experience
- Pack and ship customer orders.
- Build wooden crates and pallets as required.
- Maintain general knowledge of assigned work area(s)
- Daily cycle count and reconciliation.
- Issue materials to job orders.
- Receive parts from job orders and purchase orders.
- Physically move materials to and from storeroom.
- Answer forklift calls and move materials where required.
- Complete forklift and crane training/licensing.
- Operate forklift safely.
- Complete daily forklift & crane checklist.
- Meet all monthly safety requirements as established by the HSE Department
- Attend all required Safety Training sessions or complete and submit make-up materials to HSE
- Comply with all JBT safety policies and guidelines
- Perform communication with freight carriers.
- Handle special freight projects as assigned.
- Execute outbound shipping.
- Pick and pack sales order.
- Package parts per established or best practice.
- Communicate shipment tracking to customer service
- Must have a passion for serving customers and developing subordinates to be relentless in the pursuit of a better customer experience.
- Related experience of 1-3 years
- Must possess a clear understanding of general math
- Ability to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Ability to read and comprehend component drawings
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and material handling equipment
- Knowledge of storeroom procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods.
- Ability to read and understand bills of materials.
- Experience using carrier software, e.g. UPS.
- Knowledge of air and motor freight tariffs.
- Experience negotiating transportation bids.
- Experience with freight carriers.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift, crane, and rigging.
- Experience in using staple guns, strapping equipment, saws (rip, band, radial)
- Ability to use MRP based computer business system.
