Established in 1884, the property blends Southern hospitality with authentic Victorian charm. The Jarrett House includes guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, event space with bar service, and a retail bakery featuring house-made desserts. We are looking for dependable, service-minded team members who want to be part of a historic hospitality property and help create memorable guest experiences.
Position Overview
Bussers help keep the dining room clean, organized, and ready for service. This role supports servers and hosts by clearing tables, resetting place settings, refilling supplies, assisting with guest needs, and helping the restaurant move smoothly during busy meal periods. Bussers are an important part of the service team and should be dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Clear and reset tables quickly, carefully, and thoroughly.
Assist servers with drink refills, food delivery, and guest needs.
Maintain cleanliness in dining rooms, service stations, and guest areas.
Remove dishes, glassware, silverware, and linens from tables.
Stock service stations with supplies, menus, napkins, and other items.
Help prepare dining areas before service and clean them after service.
Assist with event setup, breakdown, and banquet service when needed.
Communicate with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management.
Follow sanitation, safety, and food-handling standards.
Support a positive and efficient team environment.
Qualifications
Previous restaurant experience helpful, but not required.
Strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.
Ability to move quickly while staying careful and professional.
Positive attitude and team-first mindset.
Dependable, punctual, and available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, and move throughout a shift.
Compensation
Starting at $16 /hour, dependent upon experience and position.
Positions are immediately available.
