TEACHER-PRIMARY-TEMPORARY POSITION Jamestown Elementary School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered educator to join our team as a Temporary Primary Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative, supportive school community committed to academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and whole-child development. Position Summary The selected candidate will provide a high-quality educational program for primary grade students in a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices in early literacy and numeracy, positive classroom management, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas • Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote a positive learning environment • Use data to inform instruction and support student growth • Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and administration • Communicate effectively with families to support student success • Support the social-emotional development of students through relationship-building and consistent routines Qualifications • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or intern eligible • English Learner Authorization (CLAD or equivalent) • Strong instructional practices in primary grades, including early literacy • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive school culture
