Jamestown School District is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered, and versatile Technology Support Specialist / Library Clerk to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. This unique dual-role position is essential to our district’s success, providing both the technical heartbeat of our classrooms and a welcoming environment in our school library. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our students and staff have the tools they need to succeed in a modern learning environment while fostering a love for reading and resource discovery. The Role This position performs a variety of clerical, technical, and customer service tasks supporting both library operations and district technology systems. You will be the first line of support for classroom technology while simultaneously managing the school library program, including circulation, reference, and textbook management. Essential Responsibilities • First-Level Tech Support: Provide immediate assistance to staff and students regarding computers, Chromebooks, software applications, and classroom displays. • Library Management: Maintain the school library program, provide instructional support services, and manage the inventory of textbooks and instructional materials. • Device Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including laptops, tablets, printers, and interactive projectors. • System Administration: Create and manage user accounts for district systems, email, and educational software platforms. • Inventory & Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records for all technology equipment and library resources, including asset tagging and work order documentation. • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools (TCSOS) to resolve advanced network or connectivity issues. • Instructional Partnership: Assist staff in selecting and effectively using technology tools and train others in using library resources.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Associate Degree (AA), completion of two full years of college coursework or technical certification or equivalent training in information technology, library science, educational technology or a related field • 2 or more years of experience setting up, installing and repairing network computers; troubleshooting computers, peripherals, Wi-Fi and networks; Providing technical support in an office or educational environment • Relevant experience in library services, technology support, or school operations is highly desirable.
