We're looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Patient Access Coordinator to join our Glen Allen team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring our office runs efficiently.

What You'll Do
As a Patient Access Coordinator, you'll help create an exceptional patient experience by:
- Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating provider calendars
- Checking patients in and out efficiently
- Verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations
- Collecting patient demographics and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patients with scheduling and general inquiries
- Collecting copays and processing payments
- Coordinating with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintaining patient confidentiality while following HIPAA guidelines
- Supporting the front office team with additional administrative duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–1 year of customer service, receptionist, or medical office experience encouraged to apply
- Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train motivated candidates!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping others
