Sheltering Arms Institute is currently seeking a full-time Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. The Patient Access Coordinator performs a variety of assigned administrative job functions essential to the daily operations of the organization at locations assigned by the Patient Access Manager to meet the Patient Access Department, and clinic needs. The Patient Access Coordinator will primarily work out of the Bon Air location and will be assigned to work from other locations one time a week. The locations the Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for are Bon Air, Reynolds, Laburnum and Sheltering Arms Institute hospital. Under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager, the Patient Access Coordinator acts as a leader in his/her assigned work area through the assessment of processes, monitoring department registrars and their work product, educating staff on processes and change, training new hires, working reports, serving as a resource for coverage needs, assisting with staffing and scheduling and serving as a department liaison with internal and external customers to meet Sheltering Arms standards for excellence in customer satisfaction.

Compensation

  • $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
  • This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
  • Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Successful Candidates Will Possess

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills in a PC environment required
  • Ability to multi-task, have attention to details, follow through.
  • Prior experience in a health care setting is preferred.
  • Insurance knowledge is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or business school training preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years prior experience, or equivalent in a business setting is preferred.
