RESPONSIBILITIES:
Classroom Instruction
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, classical Kindergarten curriculum.
- Teach foundational literacy and numeracy using phonics-based reading and hands-on math instruction.
- Foster curiosity and wonder through stories, poetry, nature study, art, music, and play-based learning.
- Integrate faith and character formation into daily classroom life.
- Create a joyful, orderly, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
- Encourage habits of attention, kindness, perseverance, and responsibility.
- Observe and assess student progress and communicate regularly with families.
- Partner closely with parents.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen curriculum and school culture.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field
- Teaching certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience teaching young children (Kindergarten or early elementary preferred)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Love for children and enthusiasm for teaching foundational skills
- Experience or interest in classical education
- Training in phonics-based reading instruction
- Desire to grow professionally within a classical school environment
