What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Accounting Manager position at JACKPOT JUNCTION CASINO HOTEL?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee Accounting department.
- Oversee Warehouse, Accounting, Count Team and Cashier departments in Finance Directors absence.
- Reconcile various bank accounts to general ledger.
- Assis with preparation of monthly adjustments.
- Examine month-end financial statements for accuracy, completion and budget comparison.
- Prepare and file Minnesota sales and entertainment tax reports, foreign tax, 1099s and W2gs.
- Compile yearly budget information from all departments, and work with revisions and variances.
- Perform bank transfers, and update Finance Director on cash status.
- Perform loan compliance calculations for loan covenants.
- Evaluate accounting procedures, and recommend changes for improvement.
- Provide guidance and assistance to support staff and casino personnel.
- Compile reports as requested.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience in Accounting.
- Experience in casino accounting helpful.
- CPA preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions.
- Knowledge of Sage accounting system preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- GAAP financial reporting experience.
- General Ledger experience.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Able to work holidays as needed.
- Able to work well with others as part of a team.
- Computer literate.
- 10-key by touch.
- Detail-oriented.

Salary : $70,000 - $139,285
