Sports Bar Bartender

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers and staff.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests at the bar.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including alcohol.
• Promptly and accurately relay food orders to Sports Bar kitchen staff.
• Accurately accept payment and make change during transactions.
• Utilize proper cash handling and control procedures.
• Operate POS terminal.
• Balance cash drawer.
• Ensure Sports Bar is adequately stocked with product (e.g. beer, liquor, juice, etc.) at all times.
• Prepare Sports Bar for service as needed (e.g. cutting fruit, washing dishes, etc.).
• Keep work area, liquor room and beer cooler clean and organized.
• Inform manager of any breakdown or malfunction of equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of Sports Bar on a daily basis.
• Follow proper policies and procedures pertaining to bookkeeping and money handling.
• Maintain all paperwork, audit sheets, closeouts, opening reports and other tallies as required.
• Set up, clean up and close down Sports Bar.
• Adhere to all company, department and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous bartending experience required.
