I’m currently partnering with a leading precision manufacturing organization that supplies highly engineered components into the aerospace, defense, medical device, industrial and commercial markets.


Following continued growth and investment, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead the site quality function at its Bethel, CT facility.


This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality leader who enjoys driving quality culture, developing people, strengthening quality systems and working closely with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to ensure the highest standards of operational excellence across a technically demanding production environment.


Responsibilities

• Lead the site Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards

• Oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection

• Lead internal, customer, supplier, certification and regulatory audits, ensuring continued audit readiness across the facility

• Act as the primary quality interface for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Lead investigations into customer complaints, returns, nonconformances and quality concerns

• Drive Root Cause Corrective Action, CAPA, containment and preventive action activities

• Manage nonconforming material processes, disposition, corrective actions and quality documentation

• Support First Article Inspections, PPAP, process capability studies, validation activities and statistical analysis

• Develop and monitor key quality metrics, objectives and continuous improvement plans

• Lead, coach and develop Quality Inspectors, Technicians and wider Quality personnel

• Work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Customers and Suppliers to improve product quality and operational performance

• Champion a culture of accountability, quality ownership and continuous improvement throughout the business


What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or a related technical discipline

• 5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment

• 3 years of quality leadership or management experience

• Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems

• Experience with FAI, PPAP, RCCA, CAPA, statistical analysis and quality performance metrics

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across customers, suppliers and internal teams

• Experience within aerospace, defense, medical device, precision manufacturing, metal forming, fabrication or machining environments would be advantageous

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
