Our client is seeking a Wine Director / Assistant General Manager to help lead one of the Southeast’s most exceptional dining destinations — a restaurant proudly selected for the Michelin Guide to the American South. This is a rare opportunity to collaborate with a Michelin-starred Chef in Residence and a Master Sommelier, mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals while curating an extraordinary fine-dining experience.

Compensation: $75K (could go above the range for a WSET or high-level Somm) Up to 20% bonus based on performance
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead wine and beverage service, building and maintaining an award-winning wine list
- Partner with culinary leaders to design tasting menus and pairing programs
- Mentor students and staff on fine-dining service and wine education
- Oversee day-to-day operations, service quality, and guest satisfaction
- Manage purchasing, inventory, and cellar organization
- Collaborate on marketing, menu development, and event strategy
- Represent the restaurant at select industry events and wine showcases
What You’ll Need to Be Considered:
- Certified Sommelier or WSET Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent credential
- Passion for mentoring and developing hospitality talent
- Strong operational leadership and guest service orientation
- Experience with POS and inventory systems
What Could Set You Apart:
- Proven ability to develop wine lists recognized by Wine Spectator or similar
- Background in upscale dining with Forbes or James Beard recognition
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Wine Studies, or related field
- Experience in tasting menu environments
