Collections Representative

We are seeking a Collections Representative to support delinquent account resolution and customer outreach within a banking environment. This role is responsible for working directly with customers to resolve past-due accounts while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

We are seeking a Collections Representative to support delinquent account resolution and customer outreach within a banking environment. This role is responsible for working directly with customers to resolve past-due accounts while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and negotiate payment solutions and payment arrangements
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls (approximately 60 accounts/calls per day)
- Work from an assigned collections queue and prioritize accounts accordingly
- Review account histories, payment trends, and customer information to determine appropriate collection strategies
- Conduct light skip tracing and research to locate customers using available tools and resources
- Investigate and resolve customer account issues
- Maintain accurate customer records and update contact information
- Document collection efforts, customer communications, and account activity
- Assist with other collection department functions as needed
- Manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 3-5 years of collections, customer service, call center, loan servicing, or related experience
- Collections experience preferred
- Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent phone and customer interaction skills
- Ability to review account information, analyze payment activity, and make sound decisions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with solid data entry and documentation skills
- Team-oriented with strong listening and interpersonal skills
- Products serviced include auto loans, personal loans, and lines of credit
- Approximately two weeks of training provided
- Fully onsite position
- One mandatory Saturday per month required; additional overtime may be available
