We are currently hiring a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor production equipment used in the packaging goods. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment including capping, labeling, and shrink wrap machines used for plastic packaging
- Set up machines at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper operation
- Monitor machine performance and identify any malfunctions
- Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments before escalating issues to mechanics
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and packaging standards are met
- Record production output and downtime as required
- Follow company safety procedures and production guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with machine changeovers and routine cleaning when needed
Qualifications
1–2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read work orders and follow production schedules
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / production facility
- Exposure to machinery and moderate to high noise levels
