Shift Options: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 3 p.m.–11 p.m.
Position Summary
The Iowa State Fair is seeking energetic, solution-focused Guest Experience Supervisors to help lead our super positive Guest Services Team. Supervisors will lead daily guest service operations, assist staff, answer Fairgoer questions and help resolve concerns quickly, professionally and with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a visible, approachable resource for Fairgoers
- Respond to and help resolve guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Support and supervise Guest Experience team members during assigned shifts
- Communicate with Fair staff, public safety and other departments as needed to assist guests
- Help maintain a safe, positive and welcoming atmosphere
- Monitor guest service areas and provide support when needed
- Document guest concerns and significant incidents when necessary
- Lead with professionalism, patience and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, hospitality, event or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Friendly, dependable and team-oriented
- Must be available for all scheduled Fair dates
