What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Administration Bank Teller position at Iowa State Fair?
Duration: Day before the Fair through day after the Fair (approximately 13 days)
Position Summary:
Provides secure cash-handling and banking services during the Iowa State Fair, ensuring accurate reconciliation, deposit preparation, and exceptional customer service to vendors, concessionaires, and Fair departments. Responsible for safeguarding significant cash assets and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.
· Responsible for the custody, security, and accurate accounting of approximately $150,000 of the on-site bank's daily cash operations.
· Balance, reconcile, and verify cash on hand multiple times throughout each shift to ensure accuracy and accountability.
· Prepare, issue, and monitor departmental start-up funds, ensuring timely repayment and proper documentation.
· Provide cash exchange services to vendors, concessionaires, and Fair departments while delivering excellent customer service.
· Prepare, process, and balance cash swaps and transactions with banking partners.
· Verify and reconcile deposits from multiple Fair operations, including:
o Grandstand concessions
o Ice House
o Horse Barn
o Competitive Events and Entry Department
o Campgrounds
o Ticket Office
o Thrill Parks
o Blue Ribbon Foundation and Water Operations
· Prepare and secure deposits for pickup by armored car service.
· Maintain strict adherence to cash-handling procedures, internal controls, and security protocols.
· Accurately complete required records, reports, and documentation related to cash transactions and deposits.
· Assist with other banking and financial operations as assigned during the Fair.
Prior Bank Teller experience required.
Current Pay: Starts at $16/hour
