We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. This role is on-Site in Kansas City, MO.
We're partnered with a growing, technology-driven organization that relies on a stable, secure, and well-maintained IT environment to support day-to-day operations across the business. Their infrastructure spans a mix of on-prem and cloud-based systems, and IT plays a critical role in keeping everything running smoothly.
This is a well-rounded Systems Administrator position focused on owning and supporting the day-to-day IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Perform patching and update management across systems and endpoints
- Support vulnerability management and remediation efforts
- Administer Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID) including user provisioning, access control, and group policies
- Handle software installation, deployment, and licensing
- Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
- Support core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on more specialized projects when required
- Contribute to overall IT operations and environment stability
What They're Looking For
- 4-8 years of experience in a Systems Administrator / IT Infrastructure role
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server and/or Linux
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- Patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, Intune, or similar)
- Experience supporting infrastructure and end-user environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Comfortable working across a broad IT environment rather than a specialized niche
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with endpoint security tools / vulnerability scanning
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
