This role is equal parts human connection and behind-the-scenes coordination. You'll help turn applicants into new hires, guide them through their first days, and make sure every seasonal team member feels confident, prepared, and excited to be here.

Responsibilities
Welcome New Hires with a Smile: Be one of the first friendly faces new team members meet! Greet employees during check-in, assist with new hire paperwork, create ID badges, and help distribute uniforms. Ensure the onboarding experience is smooth, supportive, and sets the tone for a great season.
Host Legendary Orientations: Work with Corporate Learning & Development to keep our orientation materials current, helpful, and fun. Coordinate and deliver in-person orientation sessions from April through September—and help update our annual orientation content. Collaborate with department leaders to refresh their content and tailor presentations to what employees really need to know.
Keep Training Organized and on Track: Manage and track employee training in our Learning Management System. Prepare and submit monthly training calendars and reports, including compliance with NPS concession requirements.
Keep Communications Clear: Create and distribute engaging pre-arrival content that gets employees excited before they even step foot in the park. Help manage our social media presence for employee engagement, helping build a sense of community and connection online.
Support Special Events and Partnerships: Attend job fairs and recruiting events when available. Coordinate NPS orientation dates and work with Location Managers to ensure employee attendance. Jump in on other exciting HR projects and needs as they come up—because no two days are the same in Glacier!
Qualifications
- A passion for people and creating welcoming, well-organized experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re friendly, clear, and great at answering questions before they’re even asked.
- Solid tech know-how, especially with systems like iCIMS, LMS, Dayforce, and Cloudsuite—or the curiosity and drive to learn them fast.
- The ability to juggle a lot of moving parts while keeping your cool and sense of humor.
- A love for checklists, training schedules, and finding creative ways to improve the onboarding process.
- Experience working in HR, recruiting, orientation, or training is a big plus—but we’re open to strong organizers and people-persons from all backgrounds!
Work Environment and Physical Requirements include:
- This role is based on-site at our main office in Columbia Falls, with occasional visits inside Glacier National Park.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while performing administrative tasks such as processing paperwork or facilitating orientation.
- Must be able to move about the office and various park properties to support onboarding activities, distribute materials, and greet employees at check-in.
- Occasional lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 25 lbs (e.g., orientation packets, uniform items, equipment).
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others in person, over the phone, and via video conferencing, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment that includes interruptions, shifting priorities, and frequent in-person interaction.
- May occasionally require work outside standard office hours, particularly during peak arrival periods in spring and early summer.
