A leading law firm is seeking a Trademark and Copyright Associate with 3–4 years of experience to join its growing Intellectual Property team. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters across a diverse client base, including globally recognised brands, within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The position is available across multiple office locations with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution, strategy, and portfolio management
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide risk analysis and counselling
- Handle trademark enforcement, disputes, and online/internet-related investigations
- Represent clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB)
- Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements and contractual provisions
- Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Support clients across a variety of sectors including technology, financial services, and consumer products
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of dedicated intellectual property experience in private practice
- Strong experience in trademark prosecution and enforcement matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload
- Proven ability to problem solve and think creatively to achieve client objectives
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Self-starter with strong client service skills
- Qualified and admitted to the Bar in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction
