Trademark and Copyright Associate

Day Pitney's Trademark and Copyright Group is seeking an Associate with a minimum of 3 years of trademark and copyright experience to join our growing team in either our Boston or New York office, with flexibility to consider Connecticut.

Ideal candidates will have in-depth experience with:

• domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement and management, including trademark counseling, clearance search and analysis, prosecution and maintenance, portfolio management.
• trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce, online investigations and general enforcement matters.
• structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements and contractual provisions related to IP and trademark matters.
• conducting IP due diligence for corporate mergers, acquisitions, and other deals.
• trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated intellectual property experience in private practice
• Excellent organizational, technical, and professional
• Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
• Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
• Proven track record of problem solving and "thinking outside of the box" to achieve client goals
• Self-starter with excellent client service skills and strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume trademark prosecution practice
• Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice
