An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&A Partner to join the Los Angeles office of a highly respected national law firm with a market-leading corporate practice. The firm advises private equity sponsors, strategic acquirers, family offices, independent sponsors and middle-market businesses on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, with billions of dollars in deal value handled each year. Its collaborative platform, deep industry knowledge and integrated approach provide partners with the resources to continue building and expanding successful practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
- Advise private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers, family offices and other investors on a broad range of strategic transactions.
- Manage all stages of the transaction lifecycle, from structuring and due diligence through negotiation, execution and post-closing matters.
- Work closely with colleagues across tax, finance, antitrust, intellectual property, executive compensation and other specialist teams to deliver seamless client service.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the firm's corporate practice.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission, or ability to obtain admission, to the California Bar.
- Significant experience advising on sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions within a respected law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations and lead high-value transactions.
- An established client base or a clear track record of developing business.
- Commercially minded with exceptional client relationship and leadership skills.
- Collaborative approach and a desire to work within a nationally recognised corporate platform.
