Financial Services Litigation Attorney

A leading national litigation practice is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Financial Services Litigation team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience handling complex securities and/or financial services litigation, working closely with senior litigation partners on sophisticated disputes and arbitrations for financial institution and fintech clients. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client exposure, and immediate integration into active matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage substantive aspects of complex litigation matters in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
• Handle discovery, including document review, written discovery, and witness preparation.
• Support deposition preparation, hearings, and trial strategy.
• Participate in case management, factual development, and client counseling.
• Collaborate across litigation and financial services teams on high-profile disputes and enforcement matters.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in securities and/or financial services litigation.
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing day-to-day litigation responsibilities and working directly with clients.
• Government agency experience is a plus.
• Admission to the New York bar required.
