Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to support a cohesive team environment.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution as part of a team.
- Communicate with clients, providing timely updates and thoughtful case analysis.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in California.
- 8 years of defense litigation experience, including catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability matters.
- Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required; cross-examining plaintiffs and fact witnesses preferred.
- Experience with court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plus; 2nd chair trial experience a plus.
- Superior analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
