- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after loading to identify any damages or discrepancies
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with loading equipment or vehicle systems when necessary
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of air brake systems on applicable vehicles, to prevent accidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of cargo movements, including logs of loaded and unloaded items
- Assist with securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate efficient loading schedules and optimize workflow
Qualifications
- Prior experience in vehicle loading/unloading or related logistics roles preferred
- Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable, with the ability to identify basic mechanical issues
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
