What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Equipment Engineer – Lyophilization Systems position at Intellectt Inc?
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in lyophilization (freeze drying) systems to join a leading life sciences manufacturing environment
This is a contract opportunity for professionals with 8 years of experience in field-based equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting, especially within pharma, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, and SAT of freeze dryers and related life sciences equipment
- Execute corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on lyophilization systems
- Conduct temperature mapping studies for freeze dryers and associated systems
- Perform I/O checks, including physical and electrical signal simulation
- Execute instrumentation loop calibration for temperature, pressure, and vacuum systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and control system issues directly on the manufacturing floor
- Carry out on-site repairs, fault isolation, and equipment adjustments independently
- Support equipment start-up, functional testing, and performance verification
- Prepare customer sites for equipment installation and readiness activities
Required Skills:
