Equipment Engineer – Lyophilization (Freeze Drying)

We are looking for a hands-on Equipment Engineer with strong experience in lyophilization (freeze drying) systems to support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities in a life sciences manufacturing environment.

This is an execution-focused, field-based role—ideal for engineers who enjoy working directly on equipment rather than documentation-heavy validation work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of freeze dryers
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
  • Conduct temperature mapping studies
  • Perform I/O checks and signal simulation
  • Calibrate instrumentation loops (temperature, pressure, vacuum)
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC/control systems
  • Support equipment start-up, testing, and performance verification
  • Carry out on-site repairs and fault isolation independently

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with lyophilization (freeze dryer) systems
  • Background in pharma, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing
  • Expertise in:
  • Temperature mapping
  • I/O checks & signal simulation
  • Instrument calibration (temp, pressure, vacuum)
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and SAT (execution-focused)
  • Solid knowledge of:
  • Electro-mechanical systems
  • PLC-controlled equipment & troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis
