Job Title: Exterior Mechanism Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
Job Summary
Seeking an Exterior Mechanism Engineer with experience in automotive mechatronic systems, actuator and motor design, CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, and DRE (Design Release Engineering). The ideal candidate will develop and optimize exterior vehicle mechanisms from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive exterior mechanisms (Charge Port Doors, Exterior Mirrors, Tonneau Covers, Automated Glazing Systems).
- Develop actuators, motors, and mechatronic systems using CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Software, and Studio teams to define system requirements.
- Create 2D drawings with GD&T and support feasibility, DFM, and design optimization.
- Drive prototype development, industrialization, and continuous improvement in mechanism kinematics and NVH.
