Job Summary
Seeking an Embedded Software Safety Architect to lead the design and governance of automotive safety-critical software architectures from ASIL B to ASIL D, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262.
Key Responsibilities
- Define software safety architecture, safety concepts, requirements, and safety mechanisms.
- Design safety architectures for AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, MCU/SoC, QNX, Safe Linux, and mixed platforms.
- Define fault detection, monitoring, degraded modes, recovery, safe states, and freedom from interference.
- Perform Software FMEA, FTA, failure propagation, and safety mechanism analysis.
- Support fault injection, robustness testing, verification, and structural coverage.
- Review software architecture, design specifications, interfaces, and safety evidence.
- Collaborate with System, ECU, Hardware, Functional Safety, and Software teams to ensure end-to-end safety compliance.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong Automotive Embedded Software Architecture experience.
- ISO 26262 / Functional Safety with ASIL B/C/D.
- AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, MCU/SoC, and safety-critical embedded systems.
- Experience with software safety mechanisms and safety analysis (FMEA/FTA).
- Strong system-level technical leadership and Embedded C/C knowledge.
Preferred: QNX/Safe Linux, multicore safety, memory protection, watchdogs, safety islands, fault injection, virtualization/hypervisors, and DOORS/Polarion/Jama.
Industry: Automotive / Embedded Systems
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
