Position Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be a driving force behind our culture of quality and continuous improvement. You’ll lead initiatives that ensure our products meet the highest standards, strengthen our partnerships with customers and vendors, and help shape the future of our manufacturing excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Champion Quality: Lead quality initiatives within the facility through established systems and audits to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Problem Solver: Manage the Non-Conforming Product Process, working closely with production to prevent recurrence and drive root cause solutions.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with production, engineering, and tooling teams to continuously improve processes and implement customer-driven enhancements.
- Engage with Partners: Travel to customers and vendors to conduct audits, follow up on quality requirements, and strengthen relationships through proactive communication.
- Support the Team: Mentor and assist Quality Technicians while coordinating First Article Inspections, capability studies, and non-production measurements.
- Drive Data-Based Decisions: Use statistical methods to identify improvement opportunities, establish sampling plans, and perform process capability analyses.
- Ensure Excellence: Maintain calibration, compliance, and preventative maintenance of quality equipment.
- Deliver Insights: Prepare reports, analyze trends, and make actionable recommendations that support our continuous improvement goals.
- Support Quality Systems: Maintain Quality Management System compliance and support all related documentation and audits.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Quality, or similar) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Experience: 1–2 years of quality or manufacturing experience, ideally in plastics, molding, or a related industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven quality tools and statistical analysis.
- Traits: A proactive communicator, collaborative problem solver, and continuous improvement advocate.
