We are hiring a Full-Time Molding Tech for our 2nd shift, 3pm-11am
Summary: |
Assess production requirements per the schedule; advise shift associates in daily responsibilities to meet customer expectations; quality and delivery requirements. Identify and implement solutions to problems as they arise, communicate issues and solutions to all associates as appropriate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor production to determine changeover schedule
- Prepare mold and equipment prior to changeover to eliminate unnecessary down time
- Install mold as appropriate, install plumbing per water diagram
- Purge molding machine as needed
- Document “how to” produce repeatable process results
- Relieve associates at break times as needed
- Run presses as needed
- Assure each job has a process printout, and water diagram
- Ensure all product, tools and accessories are neatly stored
- Document supply inventory shortages
- Maintain order and cleanliness of supplies, tools and equipment
- Document tooling problems with work order, and samples of problem
- Document equipment problems with work order, and any supporting information
- Sample molds and materials as necessary, complete sample sheet
- Perform mold component changeover as necessary
- Prepare for next shift as if it were your own
- Monitor performance of department and individuals on your shift, (attendance, quality and quantity of work), and provide feedback to individuals informally, as well as annually (in cooperation with department manager)
- Assign people to accomplish daily customer requirements (samples and production)
- Daily audit of Production for cleanliness and organization
- And any other duties as required by manager
- Maintain Quality Management System compliance.
