Test Engineer

Job Location: Round Lake, IL

Job Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Position: Medical Device Test Engineer / QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing activities supporting Medical Device ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) processes
• Support medical device teams with testing across IT systems and applications
• Execute test cases, document results, and identify issues during testing cycles
• Troubleshoot functional and system-related issues during validation and testing activities
• Work closely with project and QA teams to ensure accurate and timely test execution
• Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation using Micro Focus ALM / HP ALM
• Support defect tracking and retesting activities
• Participate in team meetings and video interview discussions as part of the testing lifecycle

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of testing or QA experience in the medical device industry
• Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Quality Center
• Strong execution and troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience supporting IT system testing within regulated environments
• Understanding of medical device testing and validation processes
• HL7 knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with networking protocols and tools such as:
• Wireshark
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• No database or cloud experience required
• Primarily focused on manual testing and test execution (not debugging/development)
