Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Round Lake, IL 60073 (Onsite)
Duration: 06 months contract with possible extension
Shift Details: 8AM to 5PM (Mon-Fri)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to support medical device interoperability and integration testing in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test cases, validating data exchange workflows, troubleshooting issues, documenting defects, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute interoperability and integration test cases for medical device systems
Validate data exchange workflows between systems and devices
Perform testing related to HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE standards
Identify, document, and track defects with detailed test evidence
Support regression testing and root cause analysis
Configure and maintain test environments, simulators, and mock systems
Maintain accurate test documentation and reporting in ALM/Test Management tools
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and QA teams
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in test execution and troubleshooting
Experience documenting test records and defects
Ability to debug issues with engineering teams
Experience working in regulated environments
Minimum 3 years of testing or validation experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to HL7 or healthcare interoperability standards
Experience with ALM/Test Management tools
Medical device industry experience
Basic understanding of networking protocols
Salary : $40 - $46
