Job Title: Application Scientist Location: Bedford, MA 01730Duration: 12 months Possible EPay Rate: $27.78/hr on w2Summary:An Application Scientist I, within the Downstream Application department, will assist in the design, development, and testing of novel chromatography products and technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals.Responsibilities:In this role as an entry-level scientist/engineer, you will contribute to technology and product development projects to deliver advanced chromatography technologies intended for a wide range of bioprocessing applications. You will apply solid scientific and engineering principles to:Design and test prototype chromatography products in a collaborative environmentDevelop materials, devices, and methods that achieve cost and performance objectivesSummarize experimental results and conclusions to the project team through written reports and technical presentations.Qualifications:B.S. in applied science or an equivalent degree in a related technical area.Previous experience with chromatography system is a plus.Hands-on problem solver, comfortable with modern laboratory techniques and procedures.Complies with all necessary EHS safety regulations.Must be able to work collaboratively within a team, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement functions, through development and validation phases to support a successful product launch.Seeks out feedback and responds appropriately to input from other R&D peer groups.Demonstrates good communication skills and an ability to deliver clear, concise technical presentations.#sczr2
