Location: Bedford MA 100% on-site
Pay: $28-$30 an hour

An Application Scientist I within the Downstream Application department will assist in the design, development, and testing of novel chromatography products and technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
In this role as an entry-level scientist/engineer, you will contribute to technology and product development projects to deliver advanced chromatography technologies intended for a wide range of bioprocessing applications. You will apply solid scientific and engineering principles to: (1) design and test prototype chromatography products in a collaborative environment; (2) develop materials, devices, and methods that achieve cost and performance objectives; and (3) summarize experimental results and conclusions to the project team through written reports and technical presentations.
Qualifications:
B.S. in applied science or an equivalent degree in a related technical area.
Previous experience with chromatography system is a plus.
Hands-on problem solver, comfortable with modern laboratory techniques and procedures.
Complies with all necessary EHS safety regulations.
Must be able to work collaboratively within a team, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement functions, through development and validation phases to support a successful product launch.
Seeks out feedback and responds appropriately to input from other R&D peer groups.
Demonstrates good communication skills and an ability to deliver clear, concise technical presentations.
