Patient Accounts Representative

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour | 40 Hours a week
Schedule: M - F 8:00 - 4:30 PM | 3 month contract with possibility of extension
Location: 12169 Sheridan Boulevard, Broomfield, CO

Insync Consulting is looking for a Patient Billing Specialist to join one of clients in Broomfield. In this role, you'll research and resolve outstanding medical claims, work with insurance payers, and help ensure timely reimbursement while delivering exceptional support to patients and internal teams.

What You'll Do

• Research, review, and appeal outstanding medical claims to maximize reimbursement.
• Follow up on patient accounts with insurance companies and third-party payers.
• Investigate claim denials, underpayments, and payment trends, recommending solutions when needed.
• Document all account activity accurately in Epic and other billing systems.
• Resolve billing issues, coordinate payment corrections, and reduce outstanding Accounts Receivable.
• Interpret payer contracts and stay current on insurance policies, billing regulations, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals while providing outstanding customer service to patients and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with training and mentoring team members as needed.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of patient billing, medical billing, or claims follow-up experience (hospital or physician billing preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with insurance claims, denials, appeals, and Accounts Receivable.
• Advanced knowledge of Epic and medical billing processes.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, and 10-key.
