Title: Project Engineer – Manufacturing Projects
Location: Liberty, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr - $60/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support new model launch activities for battery manufacturing operations. In this role, you will coordinate engineering, construction, purchasing, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and ready for production launch.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate new model launch activities from planning through production.
Manage capital projects and track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
Develop, monitor, and report project KPIs to leadership.
Lead project meetings, including Obeya and cross-functional review meetings.
Coordinate pre-production trials and manufacturing readiness activities.
Support construction milestones and project implementation.
Communicate project status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.
Drive cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Standardize project reporting and documentation.
Support project budgets and special assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5 years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
Experience managing capital projects valued at over $500,000.
Strong experience creating project schedules, milestones, and KPI reports.
Experience presenting project updates to senior or executive leadership.
Excellent project coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
Strong proficiency with:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Word
Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in battery manufacturing or automotive manufacturing.
Knowledge of Toyota Supplier Management.
Familiarity with Toyota Business Practices, 3 Pillar Management, or BRAD/Gated Management.
Experience supporting new product or manufacturing launches.
Salary : $50 - $60
