Title: Senior Project Surveyor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Surveyor to lead and manage land surveying activities for large-scale civil engineering projects. This role requires a licensed California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with strong technical expertise in surveying, CAD software, project management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead land surveying projects, including ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and boundary surveys.
Process survey field data and prepare maps, legal descriptions, and technical documentation.
Produce high-quality drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Trimble software.
Review survey data and ensure project accuracy and quality.
Coordinate project schedules, permits, budgets, and deliverables.
Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to survey staff.
Train and mentor junior surveyors and technicians.
Assist with proposals, cost estimates, and client relationship management.
Support field operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License (Required).
Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Preferred).
7 years of land surveying and office mapping experience.
Strong proficiency in:
AutoCAD
AutoCAD Civil 3D
MicroStation
Revit
Trimble software
Experience preparing survey drawings, maps, layouts, and legal descriptions.
Experience managing survey projects, budgets, schedules, and teams.
Strong understanding of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, and construction staking.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Utility and infrastructure surveying.
Civil engineering project support.
Client-facing and proposal preparation experience.
