We are seeking a Project Surveyor who enjoys solving complex boundary and mapping challenges, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to delivering high-quality surveying services from project kickoff through final deliverables.

The Project Surveyor serves as a key member of our technical team, working closely with the Principal Surveyor to research, analyze, manage, and deliver a wide variety of surveying projects. * Research and interpret deeds, subdivision maps, Records of Survey, easements, title reports, and other record documents.

* Analyze boundary evidence and develop boundary determinations for review by the Principal Surveyor.

* Identify project challenges early and recommend practical, efficient solutions.

* Coordinate with field crews to ensure complete and accurate data collection.

* Assist with project scheduling, workload management, and client communication.

Prepare Survey Deliverables

* Prepare Record of Survey maps, Corner Records, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary exhibits, legal descriptions, topographic mapping, construction staking calculations, and other survey deliverables.

* Produce accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

* Prepare agency submittals and client deliverables in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Support Field Operations

* Perform occasional field work as needed to support project demands, assist field crews, or verify survey evidence.

* Coordinate closely with survey crews to promote efficient project execution and seamless field-to-office workflows.

* Assist in resolving field questions and evaluating boundary evidence when necessary.

* Help maintain consistency between field procedures and final deliverables.

Collaborate, Mentor & Support the Team

* Collaborate with field and office staff to deliver exceptional surveying services.

* Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members to support their professional development.

* Assist with onboarding and training new employees on company workflows, standards, and software as opportunities arise.

* Provide guidance and constructive feedback while fostering a collaborative learning environment.

* Communicate professionally with clients, title companies, engineers, architects, public agencies, contractors, and property owners.

Continuous Improvement

* Help improve drafting standards, templates, workflows, and internal procedures.

* Utilize modern surveying technology and software to improve efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

* Stay current with California surveying laws, standards, and industry best practices.
