Job Title: Medicaid Contract Writer
Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Duration: Long-term contract
Pay Rate: $46/hr on C2C/1099 or $38/hr on W2
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medicaid Contract Writer to support the drafting, coordination, and maintenance of Medicaid-related agreements, including MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts, and other formal documentation. This role will work closely with internal business leads and cross-functional teams to ensure agreements are accurate, well-organized, compliant, and completed in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in contract documentation, document management, and cross-functional coordination within a healthcare, health IT, or government environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and maintain Medicaid-related agreements, including MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts, and other formal documents.
Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather required information and ensure agreements are complete and accurate.
Work closely with legal, privacy, security, finance, and procurement teams to resolve issues and support agreement execution.
Maintain an organized repository of agreements and related supporting documentation in SharePoint or similar document management systems.
Track agreement status, follow up on outstanding items, and support timely completion of contract-related deliverables.
Ensure documentation aligns with internal policies, program requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Collaborate with program and business teams to support Medicaid-related initiatives and contract administration needs.
Assist with documentation related to federal funding processes, including Medicaid Advance Planning Documents when applicable.
Required Qualifications
7 years of experience drafting and executing MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts, and similar agreements.
5 years of experience working with legal, privacy and security, finance, and procurement teams.
5 years of experience maintaining organized document repositories in SharePoint.
5 years of experience supporting health IT, healthcare, or government programs.
3 years of experience with Medicaid Advance Planning Documents or other federal funding processes.
Strong written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively across teams.
