Warehouse Shipping Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:Efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to ensure accurate and timely delivery. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain organized inventory, and support warehouse operations with attention to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and sign for all inbound shipments; verify packing lists against purchase orders and invoices.Label, document, and store received items in appropriate locations; update inventory records in the warehouse system.Prepare and package outbound orders safely and accurately; generate shipping documents (labels, bills of lading, packing lists).Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries; track shipments and resolve issues (damages, shortages, delays).Conduct daily inventory counts and assist with cycle counts; investigate discrepancies and report findings.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment; adhere to safety procedures and company policies.Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if licensed) and perform basic maintenance on tools and materials handling equipment.Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed; protect inventory from damage during handling and storage.Prepare reports on shipping activity, inventory levels, and KPI metrics (on-time shipments, accuracy, damaged40%).Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant warehouse experience.Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory or ERP/WMS systems preferred.Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and packing lists.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Physical endurance: ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods; able to perform repetitive tasks.Work Environment:Fast-paced warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures.May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet shipping deadlines.
