What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substation Technician position at Insight Global?
We are looking for a Substation Technician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or coordinate with P&C techs, Journeyman, and others in the installation, shakedown, and testing or RTUs, meters, and other instrumentation to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Design or assist in the design of RTU's, substation meters, and other instrumentation installations.
- Investigate, analyze, and correct SCADA, communication, metering, and other instrumentation failures and mis-operations.
- Perform repair on RTU equipment and other instrumentation
- Perform acceptance testing and field configuration of RTU's, communication processors, microprocessor based protective relays, and other instrumentation.
- Develop new SCADA applications for new RTU's and Intelligent Electronic Devices Specify and order PMAC related equipment to support Construction and Maintenance.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of SCADA Systems
- Previous Substation work
- Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical principals
- Troubleshooting & Networking Experience
- Controls experience
Salary : $40 - $50
