Site Safety Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee and support safety initiatives across commercial and industrial construction sites.

Position Summary
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and enforcement of comprehensive safety programs that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with field operations and leadership teams to promote a positive safety culture, maintain compliance, and ensure the well-being of all personnel on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across project sites.
- Manage and mentor safety technicians, coordinators, and field safety personnel.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety evaluations to ensure compliance.
- Develop, review, and implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E standards.
- Investigate incidents, prepare detailed incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training, coaching, and guidance to field teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and site leadership to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
- Track safety metrics and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Assist in developing and improving company-wide safety programs and policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of site safety management experience in a commercial and/or industrial construction environment.
- Experience managing and developing safety technicians, coordinators, or safety teams.
- OSHA 510 certification required.
- OSHA 500 certification strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of: NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs, Incident investigation and reporting, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with field and leadership teams.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BCSP Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Safety Management Professional (SMP)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Safety Management Specialist (SMS)
- Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
- OSHA 500 certification
- Mechanical contractor experience, particularly HVAC projects
- Data center construction experience
Compensation:
$47/hr to $60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of
employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in
the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this
role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the
applicable law of the worksite location.
