Senior Staff Accountant
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves managing critical accounting processes, performing detailed analysis, and supporting audits and budgeting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Review revenue recognition and make necessary adjustments during close.
- Research and investigate account discrepancies, maintain reconciliations, and perform variance analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Participate in the development and review of annual operating budgets.
- Assist with quarterly, interim, and year-end external and internal audits.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role and 5 years of total accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
