Quality Assurance Automation Lead
Onsite – Fort Wayne, IN (5 days/week)
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance leader to build and mature our QA function from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure where none exists—establishing processes, implementing automation, and influencing quality across the entire software development lifecycle. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how quality is defined, measured, and delivered across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Build and formalize QA processes, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and infrastructure
- Develop end-to-end testing strategies aligned with business and technical goals
- Implement automated test execution and integrate testing into CI pipelines
- Define quality benchmarks, metrics, and reporting to track performance and outcomes
- Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, guidelines, and procedures
- Serve as a technical mentor and foundational leader for future QA team members
- Partner closely with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Evaluate, select, and introduce QA tools and technologies as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Hands-on experience using Playwright for automated testing
- Demonstrated success establishing QA processes and standards from scratch
- Experience designing and implementing testing frameworks and supporting infrastructure
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Python preferred)
- Ability to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN, five days per week
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Ascential Test
- Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration
- Familiarity with TDD and BDD testing practices
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
- API testing experience
- Exposure to performance and load testing concepts
Compensation: Up to $130,000 total compensation per year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.
