Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of General Liability, specifically Professional Liability, claims experience.
- Experience handling complex Bodily Injury (soft tissue -> fatality) claims, including direct settlements with both unrepresented and attorney-represented claimants.
- Strong litigation experience, including coverage analysis, tender requests, and managing attorney-represented files.
- Licensed/certified in all applicable states.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to interpret claim documentation.
- Ability to manage a desk with 160 claims.
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sr Claims Adjuster to support an established 3rd Party Administrator company out of Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for independently investigating, evaluating, and resolving the most complex and high-exposure claims with minimal supervision. This includes determining coverage, assessing liability and damages, and setting appropriate reserves. You will manage claims with the settlement authority typically up to $10,000 for liability and $25,000 or more for workers’ compensation.
Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:
Compensation:
$30/hr to $35/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
