JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer for it's government contracting client in support of a USAF program based in Dayton, Ohio. This can sit in Dayton (OH), Plano (TX), or Denver (CO), and requires a SECRET CLEARANCE to start, as well as eligibility to upgrade to a TS/SCI.
The role will predominantly be onsite in one of those locations, however, exceptions may be made depending on circumstances. The goal of this mission is to modernize and deliver next-generation aircrafts trusted by the President, Secretary of Defense and Chairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to ensure continued critical command, control and communication during national emergencies.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• Knowledge of industry standard Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards

• Advanced Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as Jama, NoMagic, MATLAB
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
• Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures
• Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
• Experience integrating with existing or legacy aircraft platforms
• Experience working agile methodologies with Atlassian tools
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and safety-critical software standards
Compensation:
$65/hr to $75/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
