Deliver scalable and secure enhancements to a Salesforce platform. Build and maintain custom components that support real-time reporting, data intake, field casework mobility, and state compliance. Collaborate with policy and field services teams to convert manual or legacy processes into intuitive digital workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), triggers, Visualforce pages, and flows
• Customize and configure Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) components
• Collaborate with business analysts and state stakeholders to refine user stories
• Support sprint ceremonies and agile development cycles (2-week cadence)
• Troubleshoot bugs, resolve production issues, and manage deployments
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems (e.g., data lakes, case management tools)
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer for future enhancements
• Participate in code reviews and mentor mid-level devs on the team

Must Haves

• 5 years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Flows)
• Strong experience customizing Salesforce Government Cloud or Public Sector modules
• Familiarity with data security and compliance in regulated environments
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise or government implementations
• Ability to work onsite in Lansing every other week
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams

Plusses

• Salesforce Developer or Architect certification(s)
• Previous experience supporting state or federal government projects
• Knowledge of the Child Welfare domain or HHS processes
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Copado, Gearset)
• Experience mentoring junior developers or managing offshore teams
